The equinoxes and solstices are ancient solar festivals.
At these times there is a split in the electromagnetic field of earth which allows an infusion of solar winds to stream forth through our consciousness.
In the crystal realm, optical rainbow calcite reminds us that no matter where we are or what we are doing, we are always in the perfect place of being in that moment & time.
Different pantheons celebrated the equinox gateways through rich mythology.
The autumn equinox / Mahon is when Persephone descends into the underworld and spends six months there.
I’m sure many of us have been to this symbolic place in our own lives, the ‘dark night of the soul’.
Or sometimes it is a place we go to find a new awareness. Even to rest from the harshness of the world and cover ourselves in pungent rich earth.
When we are down in the underworld, we meet our dark other self.
In this place we have to do shadow work to understand who we really are in all of our wholeness - all aspects of the kaleidoscope.
The light and the dark… we meet ourselves and also all the parts we may not actually like or want to see.
It is in this place of the golden shadow we are able to integrate and love ourselves throughout this process…. the unshaming.
When we rise like Persephone returning at the Spring Equinox / Eostara, we rise back to Mama Earth from the depth of the underworld with wisdom & grace for the new cycle.
