Over this eclipse week, the Lunar Eclipse/ Full Moon in Pisces invites you to find a peaceful haven to drink lotus tea and bliss out, restoring your spirit to a place of deep nourishment and gentle renewal.

The eclipse will reveal the seen and unseen, with how we show up in the world and what we hide away. The ruling planet Neptune’s botanical allies of blue lotus and rose - these nurture our connection to the unseen, while gently tending to the sensitive heart space. They support psychic development, and dreaming wisdom, strengthening channeled insights while supporting the changes of life.

This is also a time for grief tending, allowing sorrow to be witnessed and held with tenderness. Give yourself permission to sit and be, rather than avoiding or rushing through any emotional pain.

This lunar eclipse invites us to bring tenderness to the emotional pain that causes vulnerable hearts to weep with the collective pain that is present.

Keening, or 'Caoineadh’ is an Irish mourning tradition involving vocal lamentations performed by women, known as keeners, during wakes and funerals. Bourke (1988) describes how keening is a women’s oral tradition and cultural practice which served as a communal expression of grief, providing an outlet for emotional release and a means of honouring the deceased. Keening was deeply embedded in Irish cultural and social life, reflecting the community's collective approach to mourning. 

"Evidence from lament texts and other sources gives us a picture of the “ideal” lamenter. She is barefoot and dishevelled; her clothes may be torn, her breasts bare, and she travels not along the roads, which are a grid imposed by her culture and community on the landscape, but across country, through wild nature" Bourke, A. During the eclipse week, the asteroid Ceres, currently in Cancer (cardinal water) represents the Earth Mother and the waning cycles of nature and time. Her sacred symbol, the golden sickle, is the intersectionality between the ever-changing seasons of life, death and renewal.

Many may feel overwhelmed and exhausted at this time by the depth of loss and sadness in the world. The gift of Ceres, as a powerful emissary, is her ability to offer support and comfort to those experiencing tremendous grief as dearly loves ones are going through illness or experiencing intense times of upheaval.
