In contemporary times, you can hold this vision in your mind’s eye as you recreate in your journal your dreams and desires while burning your favourite essential oil. Allow the precious aroma to stimulate and guide your intuitive senses.

Mercury ☿ the planetary ruler of Gemini, is the Magician and trickster. In classical mythology, Mercury/Hermes is known as the psychopomp, a guide for the souls to the place of the dead. Deeply enriched in ancient cultural traditions, a psychopomp is also the spiritual guide of a living person's soul. In astro-mythos, the androgynous Mercury ☿ is heralded as the messenger of the Gods & the ‘bringer & taker of dreams’ who grants us the rite of passage to our subconscious & the shadowlands.

This is a profound season to work with sacred dreaming plants called oneirogens. This term originates from the Greek words meaning “dream” and “to create”. One of my favourite dreaming oneirogens is Mugwort (Artemisis Vulgaris) - I grow her in my witches garden & place a leaf under my pillow at night.

It is important to educate yourself around the relationship with plant lore & reciprocity before using.
