THE ANCIENT WISDOM OF THE VENUS GATES
The Venus Gates is a modern-day astrological journey in which the Moon and Venus dance together throughout an eight-month consecutive cycle known as the Morning and Evening Star. These monthly celestial activations align with the ancient mapping of esoteric energy centers in the body's vertical axis and are based on the universal myth of Inanna's journey into the Underworld.
In this unique offering, we celebrate the Venus Gates, as they are reenacted through feminine storytelling and time-stamped to coincide with Venus and the Moon's conjunction. This celestial activation opens the Venus Gates in the sky over a period of around eight months for both the Morning & Evening Star.
To begin the cycle, Venus appears out to the east as the Morning Star, cojoining with the waning balsamic moon once every lunar month. After her disappearance for around two months in the Underworld (superior conjunction) Venus appears out to the west as the Evening Star and the waxing crescent moon activates a new Venus Gate every lunar month. As Venus rises to the heavens above, the Celestial Queen begins a new cycle in her retrograde phase (inferior conjunction) with the elemental energies of transformative rebirth.
Together we explore the ancient lineage of priestesses, witches and magickal folk ~ all who have adored the celestial Queen whilst offering libations beneath the sacred tree and crescent moon.
